Be a Junior Achievement Classroom Volunteer

 

Junior Achievement needs volunteers to deliver JA programs in two special one-day programs.   Volunteering with JA is a fun and rewarding way to get involved with local schools and share your personal and professional success…all while meeting an immediate and critical need in our community.
 

JA provides:

·        the support to ensure your success in the classroom.

You’ll be teaching one of the following programs
:

 

Kindergarten ~ Ourselves: Students are introduced to basic personal economic issues and the role
             individuals play as workers, consumers, and family members.

1st ~ Our Families: Students learn about the role of families in the local economy, their jobs, and their families’ economic needs and wants.

2nd ~ Our Community: Students take part in activities that demonstrate the responsibilities and opportunities available to residents in their economic community.

3rd ~ Our City: Students conduct business operations, make city-planning decisions, and examine economic development issues.

4th ~ Our Region: Students learn about state economies, the economic resources of regions, and decisions businesses must make.

5th ~ Our Nation: Students carry out activities for operating a business in the U.S. economy,        

          including management, marketing, production, and sales presentations
